What we collect
GuessMyTier has no user-account system, so we do not collect names, emails, or passwords from players. We collect data tied to activity on the site: guesses you make, clips you submit, reports you send, and basic event logs (such as timestamps). Submitted clips include the information you enter in the form (Minecraft username of the player in the clip, tier, gamemode, credited name, video URL).
Cookies and sessions
We use a small anonymous cookie to deduplicate guesses and reports per browser, and a separate cookie to keep an administrator signed in to the moderation panel. These cookies are HttpOnly and same-site to reduce the risk of cross-site abuse.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which features are used and to monitor performance. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data retention
We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. Deleted clips are kept in a soft-deleted state for moderation auditing for a limited period, then purged.
Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data. Contact the admin team via the in-app contact link.
Children
The service is not directed at users under the age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
